Results from Summer 2017 5-Dollar 5K #3

Summer 5-Dollar 5K Series #3

We moved to Halfmoon Bay for this event of the series. Starting and finishing at Connor Park, the course was nearly half trails.

The sunshine was brighter (smoke was thinner) but the temperature stayed reasonable. On this long weekend we weren’t sure how many runners would be around, so eighteen was a good turnout! Fastest male was Findlay Day in 19:12, and his mum Meghan Day (former Creeker now living in Victoria) was fastest female in 27:21. Full results can be found here.

See photos on Facebook.

Next Series event, #4, will be August 20 at PaceSetter Athletic. 10am start. See event page for details and registration. See you there!

Summer 5k Series #2 at Persephone Brewing

Great turnout for event #2 of the summer 2017 5k series, located at Persephone Brewing! We welcomed 42 entrants of all ages and speeds. Some clouds and one or two drops of rain kept everyone cool before the start when the sun broke through and it was summer again.

Fastest finishers were Theo Kontekakis in 24:42, followed by Dan Brackett in 26:23, and first female Cari Miller in 26:45. Third male was Andrew Duval in 26:48; second and third females were Kelly and Morgan Pollock in 27:59 and 28:21, respectively.
