The 101 Brewhouse & Distillery, Gibsons Way
The second race of the SC Brewery Run Series is the 10.1k at The 101 Brewhouse & Distillery! Start and finish near the top of the Mahan Trail (about 100m from the road, near the big trail junction). The course is a mix of roads and smooth trails. Note it’s not on Canada Day this year.
Course Map – updated June 28
Description: Starting near the top of the Mahan Trail, take the first left onto the wide trail that connects to Shaw Road. Do a counter-clockwise loop of Shaw, Inglis, Eaglecrest and O’Shea to return to the trail and back the way you came. Turn left and go down the Mahan Trail. Turn right onto Chaster, continue to Cedar Grove Elementary where you’ll cut through to access the trail to Hough Road. Stay on Hough and keep going onto the trail at the far end, then turn left onto Fitchett, then left on King, left on Chaster, back to Pratt, down to Fairview and back to the Mahan Trail. All the way up the trail nearly to the start/finish, but you’ll turn right to complete a short flat trail loop before returning to the finish line. No nasty uphill finish this year!
Water stations will be located at 3.5k/8.5k (Mahan near Chaster), and 6k (King at Kearton).
Each entry includes 1 beer ticket (or non-alcoholic beverage for underage participants). Growlers for the top overall male and female winners; and new this year, medals for top 3 males and females in junior, open, masters and veterans age groups! (that’s 19 and under, 20-39, 40-49, and 50+)
And of course, draw prizes and post-run snacks for everyone.
Registration fee is $20 pre-registered ($15 for age 19&U), and $25/$20 day of event. Enter multiple events online in a single registration and save: $2 off the second event, $4 off the third, and $6 off the fourth.
