PaceSetter is hosting a fun new run series in June and July: The Sunshine Coast Brewery Run Series!
The Persephone 5k is the first event of the series. The route will be the same one we’ve used for the 5-Dollar 5K series in 2017, a mix of road, dirt road and bit of trail thrown in. Starting on Stewart, cross and turn right onto North Road, left on Boyle, right on Parker (dirt road), right on Bridgeman, across North Rd to the end of Bridgeman and onto the grey trail in Soames Park, right onto yellow trail, straight ahead onto the road at the end, left onto Chamberlain, U-turn on Chamberlain near Shirley Macey Park, left onto North Road, left onto Stewart and back to the start. After the run, relax and enjoy food and beverages at Persephone!
The Series:
Taking place at four local craft breweries with distances from 5k to 10k, this series of runs combines two of your favourite things: running and beer (or cider)! Entry fee includes a drink coupon. There’ll be awards for first overall male and female, and draw prizes from PaceSetter. You can register for individual events or save $ by signing up for the whole series.
Participate in at least 3 of the series events and your name will go in the grand draw for a pair of shoes from PaceSetter!
- June 17th: Persephone 5k (Gibsons)
- July 1st: Canada Day 10.1k at The 101 (Gibsons)
- July 8th: Tapworks 5k (Gibsons)
- July 15th: The Bricker 8k (Sechelt)
All ages are welcome; participants under 19 years of age will get a non-alcoholic beverage coupon. All venues are youth-friendly!
Entry fees:
- $15 per event, pre-registered or $48 for the whole series
- $20 per event, race day
Series shirts will be available for purchase at each event.
BC Athletics “Athlete” members get $3 discount per event. PaceSetter Athletic Run Club members get $2 off per event.
